Does anyone think that the council should just hire a graffiti artist to paint the motorway retaining and sound barrier walls? Then at least the art that goes up they'll have a say over, they'll be supporting local artists, and can stop pouring money into the removal of the illegal graffiti?? Looking at the new motorway walls along SH16 in Auckalnd - they're like brand new white canvases begging for taggers... I think that taggers would be less inclined to deface a persons work. Has anyone tried to suggest this to the council before?
